The second degree murder trial of David Fontenot is now underway in Lake Charles. He's accused of killing Stephin Bergeron in 2011. Prosecutors claim he shot Bergeron to death on La. 27 in Carlyss. Funeral arrangements have been made for a 3-year-old boy who died following a dental procedure in Lake Charles recently. We'll have that story for you at noon, and you can also get more info HERE.
Jeff Davis Parish students and employees can expect to pay more to eat breakfast and lunch at schools there this fall. At noon, more on the exact amounts and why the school board voted for the increase.
Also today, a school system uses a new tool to help parents wanting to track what their children are eating in school. It's a new "app" that lets them see exactly what's being served on that lunch tray.
