Truck hits McNeese student apartment complex

Good Afternoon,

Lee Peck in the KPLC 7 Newsroom with a look at what we are working on today.

Lake Area runners and walkers came out to raise awareness for lung cancer. But they weren't the only ones hitting the streets early this morning for the "Free to Breathe" 5K. KPLC's Erica Bivens shows us how some Lake Charles Firefighters were also giving all they had for a good cause.

And if you have a green thumb or want one, then Burton Coliseum is where you want to be this weekend. KPLC's Monica Grimaldo takes us out to the Southwest Louisiana Garden Conference and Expo.

Plus, the fog stuck around this morning. Meteorologist Zack Fradella has a look at the forecast.

We'll see you tonight at Six for these stories and more. Until then, we're always on at kplctv.com.
