    Over the last couple of weeks someone has been circulating so-called BP oil claim forms in the Lake Charles area. While man, if not most medical claims associated with the Deepwater Horizon oil spill have been settled, someone is holding meetings around the Lake area trying to get people to sign up. But they're not too forthcoming when it comes to saying who they are or who they represent. LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) -

The Calcasieu Parish Regional Law Enforcement Training Academy held its 107th Basic Law Enforcement Graduation Ceremony on Thursday at the Lake Charles Civic Center.

Thirty-five cadets passed the Louisiana Peace Officer Standard Testing (POST) exam and are now certified as Basic Peace Officers.

Among the graduates were the following:

Joshua Foster with the New Llano Police Department was selected class president of the 107th Basic Academy.

Finn Carlton with the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office received the Highest Scholastic Average honor as well as the Defensive Tactics Honor.

Firearms awards were presented to Joshua Foster with the New Llano Police Department (first place), Jeffery Fholer Lake Charles Police Department (second place), and John Gaspard with the Lake Charles Police Department (third place).

Other graduates include:

*Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office: Alex Corbello, Steven Cox, Charles DeVillier, Payton Fawcett, Jennifer Fry, Kyle Guillory, Tony Jones II, Adam Mount, Alex Sexton and Samuel Wilkins.

Beauregard Parish Sheriff's Office: Bryon Haller.

Cameron Parish Sheriff's Office: Terry Bertrand, Kent Harris and Jacob LeJuine.

DeRidder Police Department: Doris Carter. 

Harbor Police Department: Bennon Dougay.

Jeff Davis Sheriff's Office: Melanie Guillory.

Jennings Police Department: Richard Geiger and Milton Hall. 

Lake Charles Police Department: Christopher Breland, Roland Castille, Ashley Domingue, Courtney Griffith, Joshua Maddox and Adam Williams.

Merryville Police Department: Daniel Isbell.

Oakdale Police Department: Christopher Otterson. 

Sulphur Police Department: Raymond Rich and Sean Smith.  

Winn Parish Sheriff's Office: Edward Harrell. 

*Freddy Galicia with the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office also graduated after completing 90 hours of refresher courses.

The CPSO Training Academy trains all law enforcement agencies in Calcasieu, Cameron, Beauregard, Allen and Jeff Davis parishes.
