Sulphur City Council candidate found dead, no foul play suspecte - KPLC 7 News, Lake Charles, Louisiana

Sulphur City Council candidate found dead, no foul play suspected

Good Evening,

Lee Peck in the KPLC 7 Newsroom with a look at what we are working on for Nightcast.

A man who was running for Sulphur City Council was found dead in his home. According to Sulphur Police, Fred Baden was found dead this morning. Sulphur Police are investigating, but don't suspect foul play.

The rain was the story overnight, but as we head into Sunday evening it's the cooler temperatures. Meteorologist Zack Fradella is here to tell us if we can expect any more rain and how long the cooler weather will last.

St. Patrick's Day is officially tomorrow, but the party got underway a day early at McFarlane's Irish Pub. From bagpipes to kilts, KPLC's Gerron Jordan shows us the Irish celebrate their heritage.

They're a year and a half and growing. This weekend the community came out for a benefit to support the Plauche quintuplets. KPLC's Monica Grimaldo was there for "Cars for Quints."

We'll see you tonight at Ten for these stories and more. Until then, we're always on at kplctv.com.
