    Homer Doty, Jr. says he signed up for the Navy during World War 2, because he didn't want to carry a gun in the Army. He was assigned to the U.S.S. Agnes DeRouen in the KPLC 7 Newsroom with a look at what we're working on for 7News@Noon.  

Beauregard Parish students get a bit of a break from the school uniform code. The school board approved revisions that will allow a bit more style, and at noon we'll explain how it works.

Over in Jeff Davis Parish, police jurors have passed a smoking ban for public buildings. We'll tell you what the ban will involve at noon.

Also today, for years the egg has been touted as a no-no food, because it contains a high amount of cholesterol. However, nutritionists and doctors are now changing their minds, and we'll tell you why.
