Good morning!

Agnes DeRouen in the KPLC 7 Newsroom with a look at what we're working on for 7News@Noon.

Beauregard Parish students get a bit of a break from the school uniform code. The school board approved revisions that will allow a bit more style, and at noon we'll explain how it works.

Over in Jeff Davis Parish, police jurors have passed a smoking ban for public buildings. We'll tell you what the ban will involve at noon.

Also today, for years the egg has been touted as a no-no food, because it contains a high amount of cholesterol. However, nutritionists and doctors are now changing their minds, and we'll tell you why.

Plus, it's called the "millennial effect," and it's having a significant impact on the housing market. We'll show you how the current generation of young people is prompting a spike in rental properties.

And you know those automatic hand dryers you find in public restrooms? Well they may be convenient, but are they really a health hazard? Are you actually getting blasted with germs when you use them? Find out at noon, and you can read more HERE.

Ben tells me the clouds will roll in and the humidity will gradually increase today. The rain will return on Saturday, but how much can we expect, and will any of it be severe? Check out Ben's live, local weather at noon for the answers.

Remember,  you can always watch us online at kplctv.com and on air.  We hope you join us, and have a great day and a wonderful weekend!
