Good morning!

Agnes DeRouen in the KPLC 7 Newsroom with a look at what we're working on for 7News@Noon.  

Beauregard Parish students get a bit of a break from the school uniform code. The school board approved revisions that will allow a bit more style, and at noon we'll explain how it works.

Over in Jeff Davis Parish, police jurors have passed a smoking ban for public buildings. We'll tell you what the ban will involve at noon.

Also today, for years the egg has been touted as a no-no food, because it contains a high amount of cholesterol. However, nutritionists and doctors are now changing their minds, and we'll tell you why.

Plus, it's called the "millennial effect," and it's having a significant impact on the housing market. We'll show you how the current generation of young people is prompting a spike in rental properties.

And you know those automatic hand dryers you find in public restrooms? Well they may be convenient, but are they really a health hazard? Are you actually getting blasted with germs when you use them? Find out at noon, and you can read more HERE.

    An arrest has been made in the 2009 killing of Sierra Bouzigard, whose body was found on John Koonce Road in Moss Bluff, Louisiana.

    We saw some showers and thunderstorms around the area early Monday but the bulk of the rain had come to an end shortly after lunch with clouds lingering throughout the day.  The clouds held temperatures down a few degrees, but still most areas reached the upper 80s.  It will be warm and muggy overnight with lows in the mid to upper 70s Tuesday morning.

    Four dogs have been rescued after authorities found them to be, what they call, extremely emaciated. The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office first learned about the condition of the dogs when deputies were responding to a call for assistance in Vinton. The Calcasieu Parish Animal Services called CPSO when the residents of a home were being uncooperative.  Animal Services officers found 3 dogs locked in a kennel behind the home. The home was occupied by 36 year old Anita Mo...
