Crime Roundup: Westlake sex offender arrested

CALCASIEU PARISH, LA (KPLC) -

A 52-year-old Westlake man has been arrested on a charge of failure to register and notify as a sex offender or child predator.

According to records from the Calcasieu Correctional Center, Dallas Eugene Clement was arrested in Iowa on Wednesday afternoon.

Clement was convicted of indecent behavior with juveniles in April 2005 and aggravated incest on October 2007.

Bond was set at $7,500.

 

Arrest Reports

The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office reported the following arrests:

• Aaron Leslie Cole, 26, Orange, Texas: possession of stolen things over $1,500, possession of stolen firearms, resisting an officer. Bond: $52,000.

• Alfred Fred Harrison, 36, Lake Charles: Aggravated criminal damage to property. Bond: $25,000.

• Damond Jemar Levings, 23, Lake Charles: domestic abuse aggravated assault. Bond: $15,000.

• Shawn Gregory Dugar, 42, Lake Charles: two counts of drug possession, resisting an officer, flight from an officer, non-moving violation. Bond: Pending.

• Christopher Jerome Cole, 29, Lake Charles: drug possession with intent to distribute, first-offense marijuana possession, careless operation, possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond: Pending.

 

The Jeff Davis Parish Sheriff's Office reported the following arrests:

• Lindsey Alise McZeal, 27, Jennings: outstanding warrants on theft, forgery, worthless checks. Bond: None.

• Holly Richard, 34, Ville Platte: Contempt of court on cocaine possession charge. Bond: None.

    The Calcasieu Parish Public Library annual summer reading program is underway. The kick-off celebration was held at Prien Lake Park. It included registration, face painting, kite flying, bird house building and even Clifford the Big Red Dog. The reading program runs from now until July 7.
