Authorities are searching for two men in connection with an armed robbery at a Lake Charles convenience store Saturday night.

Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Kim Myers said the men robbed the Four Corners convenience store, 2602 La. 14 East, at around 11:45 p.m.

The suspects have been described as two black men wearing dark colored cloth over their faces. One of the men was wearing military style camo pants and a dark knit cap while the other was wearing green camo pants and a dark hoodie.

"The store clerk said he was approached by two men while in the parking lot after closing the store," Myers said.

The men took an undisclosed amount of money from the clerk, forced him back into the store and then stole several cartons of cigarettes, Myers said.

"The two men then forced the clerk into the trunk of his own car and locked him inside before fleeing on foot," Myers said. "The clerk, who had his keys in his pocket, was able to open the trunk and free himself."

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Sheriff's Office at 337-491-3605. Detective Mark Clark is the lead investigator on the case.
