SULPHUR, LA (KPLC) -

Mayor Chris Duncan with the City of Sulphur has announced the following road closures, in conjunction with the placement of barricades for the Sulphur Centennial Parade, to be held March 14 at 6 p.m.

The parade route will start at W.W. Lewis and follow Cypress St. west to Willow St., ending near Sulphur High School and the 9th grade campus.

Road closures are as follows:

4 p.m.

Cypress St. between Beglis Parkway and Loretto Avenue.

5:30 p.m.

Cypress St. at its intersections with LaSalette Avenue, Placide Dr., Stelly Lane/Maple St., First Avenue, Willow/Kent Dr.

Maplewood Drive at the intersection with Loretto Avenue.

 

The following road closures have also been announced in conjunction with the Centennial Celebration, which will be held at Heritage Square:

March 11 at 9 a.m. to March 17 at 9 a.m.:

Cyrpress St. from Hickory St. to S. Huntington St. (with residential access only).

Pecan St. at its intersection with Ruth St.

Bryan/Ash St. at its intersection with Ruth St.

March 14 from 8 a.m. to March 17 at 9 a.m.:

Outside lane of S. Huntington St. from Tamarack to Cypress streets.
