Shooting at Lake Charles nightclub sends two to the hospital

LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) -

The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting at a Lake Charles nightclub that sent two people to the hospital.

The shooting happened at 4:30 Saturday morning at "The Keg" nightclub, located at 4010 Goodman Lane.

According to officials a man and a woman were shot. Both victims were taken to the hospital with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries.

At this time, investigators do not know who the shooter is and have not had any witnesses come forward with information.

Anyone who can provide information in this case is asked to call the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office at 491-3700.

    A Calcasieu Parish School bus has been involved in an accident, but authorities say no injuries have been reported. The accident happened on I-10 eastbound, between Sulphur and Westlake, said Sgt. James Anderson, Louisiana State Police Troop D spokesman. School Board spokeswoman Holly Holland students said were on the bus when the "minor" accident occurred. Both Anderson and Holland said no injuries have been reported. Copyright 2017 KPLC.
