Lake Charles firm tapped to help design Pelican Lodge

LAKE CHARLES, LA -

The following is a news release from Greenfield Logistical Solutions of Louisiana.

Greenfield Logistical Solutions of Louisiana announced Friday that it has awarded a contract for Geotechnical Engineering Services to Daniel J. Holder, P.E., Inc. of Lake Charles. These services will provide the design information in support of the housing facilities, kitchens and dining halls, administration buildings, recreational areas, parking lots, roadways and underground utilities.

"We are pleased to have secured the services of locally based firm Daniel J. Holder P.E., Inc who's local knowledge and experience will provide us with information essential to the development of Pelican Lodge," said Ian Foster, Chief Operations Officer of Greenfield Logistical Solutions of Louisiana. "We look forward to working with Mr. Holder in this first of many phases of Pelican Lodge"

    Willow Rain Molina-Renteria's baby-sitter has been indicted a year and two months after her death. A grand jury in Vernon Parish indicted Rodney D. Bailey Jr. on charges of second-degree cruelty to a juvenile and obstruction of justice. Bailey faces up to 80 years in prison if convicted.     Two more people have been arrested in connection with a homicide on N. Simmons Street early Monday morning, authorities said. But charges are being withdrawn against one of the people first arrested for the crime.     Over 2,000 soldiers stationed at Fort Polk will deploy to Iraq this fall, the City of Leesville announced Thursday.

    Approximately 2,100 soldiers from the 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division, will conduct combat and anti-terrorism operations in Iraq, said Sonny Harrell, City of Leesville spokesman.
