Calcasieu Police Jury to hold meetings on tax proposals

CALCASIEU PARISH, LA (KPLC) -

The Calcasieu Parish Police Jury will hold three town hall meetings regarding two parishwide property tax renewal propositions and a sewer proposal that will appear on ballots in the April 5 election.

At the meetings, representatives will provide information on the property tax renewals for Mosquito Control and Criminal Justice and a new one-quarter cent tax proposal for sewer expansion in unincorporated areas in Calcasieu Parish.

Meeting dates, times and locations are as follows:

Tuesday, March 11 at 6 p.m.

Prien Lake Park Pavilion

3700 W. Prien Lake Rd. in Lake Charles

 

Monday, March 17 at 6 p.m.

Moss Bluff Middle School

297 Park Rd. in Moss Bluff

 

Monday, March 24 at 6 p.m.

Carlyss Park Recreation Center

604 Carlyss Dr. in Carlyss.

 

"These public forums offer residents of the Parish an opportunity to stay informed on these important ballot items on April 5," said Parish Administrator Bryan Beam in a news release.
