Victim identified in drive-by shooting, SPD search for suspects

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

Shreveport police are searching for suspects in a drive-by shooting that injured a 19-year-old man Thursday night.

Police identified the victim as Ron Douglas, who suffered a gunshot wound to his lower extremity just before 10:30 p.m. in the 1500 block of West 58th Street.

Douglas was taken to the hospital and treated for the injury which was non-life threatening.

According to police, Douglas was standing in the front yard of a home when someone shot at him from a vehicle as it passed by.

Police are working now to identify the suspects they describe as males, race unknown, driving a dark colored, four-door sedan. Anyone with information about this shooting is asked to call Caddo Crimestoppers at 318-673-7373.
