Suspects arrested in inflatable duck theft

Lafayette, LA (KPLC) -

Two suspects have been arrested by Lafayette Police in connection with the theft of a 14-foot inflatable duck.

The duck, which belongs to the Boys and Girls Club, had been on display on Johnston St. on February 27. A truck was seen traveling south on Johnston St. with the duck in tow.

Arrested were 21-year-old Garcon Cormier and 25-year-old Kyle Cormier. Both were charged with one count of Felony Theft.

The duck has been recovered and will be returned to the Boys and Girls Club.

Investigators say more arrests are expected in the case as the investigation continues.
