    Over the last couple of weeks someone has been circulating so-called BP oil claim forms in the Lake Charles area. While man, if not most medical claims associated with the Deepwater Horizon oil spill have been settled, someone is holding meetings around the Lake area trying to get people to sign up. But they're not too forthcoming when it comes to saying who they are or who they represent. SOUTHWEST LOUISIANA (KPLC) -

Over 600 Beauregard Electric Co-Op, Inc., customers and almost 150 Entergy customers were still without power early Wednesday morning.

The BECi outages were concentrated in Beauregard and Allen parishes. At 9:25 a.m., 617 outages were reported on the BECi website www.becioutage.org

The Entergy outages were almost all in Mermentau, Jennings and Lake Arthur areas. As of 9:25 a.m., 141 outages were reported on the Entergy website www.etrviewoutage.com/external/la.aspx

The problems for BECi began early Tuesday morning and at one time affected over 7,000 customers, including Calcasieu, Vernon and Jeff Davis residents.
