MOSS BLUFF, LA (KPLC) -

Authorities are searching for a man who is a suspect in the armed robbery of a Moss Bluff casino early Sunday morning.

Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Kim Myers said a man entered the casino on Sam Houston Jones Parkway at 3:30 a.m.

The suspect has been described as a white male, around 5-foot-9, 160 pounds. He was wearing a black hoodie, grey camouflage pants, black boots and a black mask.

"The store clerk said the man entered the store brandishing a handgun and demanded money," Myers said Monday in a news release. "After stealing an undisclosed amount of money, the man fled the store on foot heading northwest towards a nearby wooded area on N. Perkins Ferry Road."

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Sheriff's Office at 337-491-3605.
