Sports Person of the Week - Jamie McGee

 

Our sports person of the week is former Barbe High School kicker Jamie McGee. Now playing for Arkansas Monticello, McGee was 17 or 19 in field goals for the 2013 season, named team MVP, all conference, all region, freshman of the year and he was named to 2 All-American teams.

    While many people across the United States watched today's solar eclipse with special eclipse glasses, some students at DeQuincy Elementary had a different option.  Smiles were on many faces of the third graders at the school, who were able to view the solar eclipse through a special Dobsonian telescope.
