66 arrested in TPD sweep; 22 guns, heroin, cocaine and marijuana seized

TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -

Toledo Police had a busy weekend. Multiple units within the department participated in an operation police called "Dirty Boy VII," in honor of Detective Keith Dressel and other officers killed in the line of duty.

Officers made 66 arrests and seized over $85,265.00 in guns and drugs. TPD released the following breakdown of items seized in the sweep, which spanned Thursday to Sunday.

Marijuana – 8.5 pounds – Valued at $16,410.00

Marijuana plants – 36- Valued at $57,600.00

Pharmaceutical Drugs – 129 pills – Valued at $1,515.00

Heroin – 10 grams – Valued at $4,300.00

Cocaine/Crack – 52.2 grams – Valued at $5,440.00

US currency - $18,744.00

Guns – 16 handguns – 6 long guns

With 66 people arrested, 91 felony and 71 misdemeanor charges were issued. Toledo Police Vice Narcotics, The Toledo Metro Drug Task Force, The Toledo Police Gang Unit and the Toledo Police SWAT Team participated in the sweep.
