Jennings Police looking for "person of interest" in shooting

JENNINGS, LA (KPLC) -

Jennings Police are investigating a shooting that sent two people to the hospital. According to police, it happened around 9 p.m. Friday on Penny Street near GC Chaney Street.

Police are looking for a "person of interest" in the case, but would not identify that person.

Both victims sustained non-life threatening injuries. One victim was shot in the neck, the other in the lower body. The victim with the lower body injury has since been released from the hospital, while the victim shot in the neck has been transferred to another hospital.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information can call Jennings Police at 821-5513.
