According to Acadia Parish Sheriff Wayne Melancon his office received a call that a shooting had occurred in the Kathy & Meadows Apartment Complex and there were possibly two gunshot victims.

Upon arrival deputies located one victim, identified as a bystander, who received two gunshot wounds to his left leg.  He was transported to a local hospital where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The shooting suspect and second victim left the scene prior to deputy's arrival.  It is believed that the second victim may have also received a gunshot wound. His whereabouts are unknown at this time.
