(CNN) – Star Trek legend Leonard Nimoy announced he's been diagnosed with a lung disease.
The 82-year-old, famously known as Mr. Spock, revealed he was suffering from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, after pictures of him in a wheelchair with an oxygen mask circulated on the internet.
Nimoy tweeted "I quit smoking 30 years ago. Not soon enough. I have COPD. Grandpa says quit now!!"
He says he's "doing OK. Just can't walk distances."
