Weather impacting early crawfish numbers

Good Evening,

Lee Peck in the KPLC 7 Newsroom with a look at what we are working on for Nightcast.

Boiled crawfish may be a tradition for some Super Bowl fans, but they may go hungry this year. KPLC's Darrell Willis reports on the challenge and circumstances facing farmers during the early part of the season.

We'll also take a look at last minute security preps at the Super Bowl.

Plus, the importance of knowing your numbers. KPLC's Haley Rush shows us how a healthy initiative in Southwest Louisiana is making it easier for people to find out everything from blood pressure to cholesterol. That's in tonight's Healthcast.

Also, the cool weather will stick around with rain chances increasing. Meteorologist Zack Fradella has the forecast.

We'll see you tonight at ten for these stories and more. Until then, we're always on kplctv.com.
