Interstate 10 at Ruth St. exit closed due to crash

Both lanes of Interstate 10 are closed near the Ruth St. exit, and they will stay that way overnight, said Spokesman Mel Estess with the Sulphur Police.

Sulphur Police responded to an accident involving an 18-wheeler and a truck at the Ruth St. exit at about noon on Friday. The crash resulted in two minor injuries.

The road remains closed due to icy weather conditions.

    Police went on a high-speed chase down Lake Street and Prien Lake Road.  Cpl. Larry Moss has confirmed the high-speed chase but police are still investigating the situation.  Viewers have sent in footage and are reporting seeing two males who seemed to be cooperating with police and have left in custody.  KPLC and FOX29 are still following this story and will update with more information.  Copyright 2018 KPLC.
