Stolen Beauregard bus, "Bernie" update, wintry forecast

Happy Thursday morning to you!  Britney Glaser here with a look at what's in store on today's Sunrise:

*The Beauregard Parish Sheriff's Office is looking for any information related to the theft of a school bus.  It was returned to the Singer school complex with nearly $10,000 in damages.  We'll tell you how to help solve this crime.

*You might recognize the name Bernie Tiede from the movie, "Bernie," that chronicled the life of an East Texas mortician (and former McNeese State University student) that killed Marjorie Nugent.  Find out why Bernie is now being transferred to a jail closer to where the crime was committed and hear what he has to say about the murder.

*Several dozen cats are poisoned and left for dead in two Shreveport neighborhoods.  It's forcing some animal owners to keep their outside pets indoors.  We'll tell you where the investigation stands today.

*Major weather changes are in store today before the next cold front moves into Southwest Louisiana.  It will start as a rain event, but we could see some changing over to freezing rain or possibly snow flurries.  Meteorologist Ben Terry will let us know if there's a threat to driving on your Friday morning.

Make it a Sunrise day!
