Oberlin could get new mayor today

Good Monday morning to you!  Britney Glaser here in the KPLC 7Newsroom with a look at what's in store on today's Sunrise:

*The Oberlin Town Council is expected to appoint a new mayor at a special meeting today.  This comes after Rick Smith officially stepped down last week in the midst of a big money controversy.  An audit into the town's financial problems is expected today.

*The woman attacked by several watch dogs at a Lake Charles business remains hospitalized in Houston.  We'll tell you how she's doing today and where the investigation goes from here.

*Are you looking for a job serving the community?  The Lake Charles Police Department has some openings for those looking to fill their ranks.  Find out what you need to do if you're interesting in earning the badge.

*Imagine not being able to do your dishes, shower or brush your teeth.  That's the scenario for more than 300,000 people in West Virginia four days after a chemical spill.  We'll tell you the status of the fix to get this critical service restored.

*It's Monday and that means we're opening up the Sunrise Pet Shop!  You don't want to miss the sweet furry friend in need of a loving home.

*There's lots of color on the radar this morning.  Meteorologist Ben Terry is tracking some potentially strong storms moving in from East Texas.
