BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

A former contestant on the reality TV show 'Survivor' is out of jail and joking about getting arrested on a DWI charge in Baton Rouge over the weekend.

The Baton Rouge Police Department reported Jessica Kiper, 34, of Los Angeles, was arrested after crashing into the back of a stopped car early Saturday morning. Kiper was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on charges of DWI, failure to maintain control and reckless operation.

According to NOLA.com, Kiper, also known as "Sugar," took a selfie in the police car and posted it on Instagram and Twitter. She reportedly joked about her arrest, tweeting that being on ‘Survivor' was worse than her stay in jail.

The selfie has since been removed from the website. Kiper later posted on her Twitter page, "My friends are being so sweet and positive to me right now. I am taking this well ... but it's because I needed a reality slap."

Cpl. Don Coppola Jr. with BRPD said the accident happened in the 2800 block of Government Street. Kiper was arrested just before 1:30 a.m. Coppola said Kiper showed signs she had consumed alcohol and was impaired. He added she was offered two separate breath tests and failed to provide a proper sample on each.

Kiper finished in third place on 'Survivor: Gabon' in 2008 and was on 'Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains' in 2010. Back in 2011, she was also on 'Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew.'
