STARKVILLE, MS (RNN) – The battle for the Magnolia State rages on as the Ole Miss Rebels travel to Starkville to face the Mississippi State Bulldogs on Saturday.

The two teams will compete for the 248th time in their history. The Bulldogs are 140-107 all-time in the series.

The Rebels (10-4, 1-0 SEC) won its SEC season opener against the Auburn Tigers on Jan. 9. The win came without leading scorer Marshall Henderson, who sat due to an SEC/NCAA suspension. He will also be sitting on Saturday for his third and final game of the suspension.

The Bulldogs (10-4, 0-1 SEC) is coming off a loss to the No. 14-ranked Kentucky Wildcats 85-63 on Wednesday.

Without Henderson, the Rebels will rely on junior guard Jarvis Summers, who averages 17.5 points per game. As a team, the Rebels average 78.7 points, 37.2 rebounds and 13.5 assists per game.

The Bulldogs' leading scorer is guard Chris Sword, who averages 14.6 points per game. The Bulldogs average 70.3 points, 34.3 rebounds and 12.4 assists per game.

Tipoff is at 4 p.m. ET and will be televised on ESPNU.
