Cove Lane update, flood protection and LA cold wx death

Happy Wednesday morning to you!  Britney Glaser here with a look at what's in store on today's Sunrise:

*With construction of a new casino underway, DOTD is busy trying to stay ahead of any problems with the Cove Lane interchange.  We'll bring you up to speed on the project and tell you when it's expected to be completed.

*A bill is designed to give people relief from staggering flood insurance rates faces a crucial test today in Washington, D.C. Louisiana Senators Mary Landrieu and David Vitter are pressing Congress to pass the revised legislation.  Find out how it would affect you if you live in or near a flood zone.

*The cold is blamed for the death of a homeless woman in Opelousas.  Her body was found behind a fire station.  Fortunately, the cold temperatures are turning warmer now.  Meteorologist Ben Terry will tell us if there are any weather warnings today.

*Former NBA star Dennis Rodman and others will play their game with a national team in North Korea today.  His "basketball diplomacy" has been less than well-received in the United States.  Hear why that's especially true for the family of a Korean-American imprisoned in North Korea for more than a year.

Make it a Sunrise day!
