Good morning!

Agnes DeRouen in the KPLC 7 Newsroom with a look at what we're working on for 7News@Noon.

Another very cold morning, and one Lake Charles man decided to give his house and yard the look of a snowy, winter wonderland. It's a truly incredible sight - we even saw the family dog enjoying the scene to the fullest! How was it done? Check it out HERE and see the whole story at noon.

Speaking of the cold weather, Ben says we can expect one last freeze tonight as temperatures drop into the middle to upper 20's. Expect clouds to roll in tomorrow, but what else can we expect as our work week progresses? Find out during Ben's live, local forecast at noon.

Ladies, do you know what's in your makeup? We have a serious warning from the FBI about counterfeit cosmetics and how they can contain dangerous chemicals like carcinogens and high levels of bacteria. Sounds yucky, and possibly hazardous – so be sure to watch our story at noon, and read more HERE.

Also today, a North Carolina woman wants to find the stranger who came to her aid on New Year's Eve. The Good Samaritan stepped in when she didn't have the money to pay for her groceries.

Plus, they're temporary – but they're likely here to stay – text messages that get to your friend's mobile device and then disappear! We'll take a look at this new way to communicate.

Remember, you can always watch us online at kplctv.com and on air.  We hope you join us, and have a great day!

As Veterans like Don Hall and others prepared for the Memorial Day parade, each one remembered why they were there and their experiences beforehand. "For us to honor our fallen comrades," said Hall. "1975 is when I joined the military," said Clinton Perry. "For me, it was an exciting time." For the kids at the parade, today was also an exciting time. They...More >>
