SULPHUR, LA (KPLC) -

Sulphur Police say a 14-year-old juvenile is accused of stealing and crashing a City of Sulphur truck.

The 2009 white Ford F-150 club cab was reported stolen from the Sulphur Water Treatment plant Friday night around 9:30 p.m. after a worker left the keys in the ignition.

According to Police, the vehicle was spotted around midnight on Highway 90. After attempting to stop the truck, officers engaged in a small pursuit. The driver eventually pulled off into a trailer park before crashing into two parked cars.

The juvenile was taken into custody. He now faces the following charges: theft of a motor vehicle, aggravated flight from an officer, reckless operation, no driver's license and resisting arrest.
