ATHENS, GA (RNN) – The Georgia Bulldogs will end their non-conference schedule in Washington, DC, facing the George Washington University Colonials on Friday at 7 p.m. ET.

The 6-5 Bulldogs hope to get back to their winning ways. After winning six games in a row, they lost on the road to the No. 21 Colorado Buffaloes 84-70 on Dec. 28.

Georgia stayed steady shooting from the floor, but it wasn't enough to keep up with the Buffaloes. The Bulldogs shot 50 percent from both field goal range and the free throw line. It was the seventh time this season that the Dawgs shot at least 50 percent from the floor.

The Colonials enter the contest with an 11-2 record and are in first place in the Atlantic 10 Conference. This is the second meeting all-time between the two teams. The first game was a 52-41 Georgia victory last year in Athens. The Colonials are also coming off a road loss, a 72-55 defeat by the Kansas State Wildcats on Dec. 31.

GWU's leading scorer is senior guard Maurice Creek, who averages 16.1 points per game. Georgia's leading scorer is sophomore guard Charles Mann, who averages 13.2 points per game.
