Vernon Parish man in need of medication is missing

Good Tuesday morning on this last day of 2013!  Britney Glaser here with a look at some of the stories we're highlighting on today's Sunrise:

*Your help is needed finding a missing man who needs medication.  26-year-old Willis Smith was last seen Monday morning in the Pine Road area of Leesville.  We'll share his picture this morning so you can be on the lookout.

*In an update to a story we've been following on Sunrise, a judge extends a restraining order to keep a California teen on life support for another week.  Jahi McMath was set to be taken off of life support Monday evening, but her family won the challenge to keep her connected to a ventilator longer.

*My Healthcast this morning introduces you to four-year-old Max Berwick of DeQuincy.  He has a condition called "MMA" that causes his body to store certain proteins that poison the tissue of his organs.  I have a transparent conversation with Max's mom, Laci, about the challenges of keeping a sick child alive.

*If you're looking for a New Year's Eve celebration to watch on TV that's closer to home than New York City - and in the same time zone - we'll tell you about the Moon Pie Drop KPLC will be airing tonight beginning at 11:30 P.M.

*Will you be popping fireworks tonight?  Meteorologist Ben Terry tells us it's going to be a cold evening.  Find out if there's any chance of rain moving into the first days of 2014.

Make it a Sunrise day!
