Alabama travels to take on UCLA at Pauley Pavilion

(RNN) - Alabama travels to UCLA's Pauley Pavilion on Saturday to take on the 10-2 Bruins in a 9 p.m. ET nationally televised game on ESPN 2. The Crimson Tide dipped to 5-6 with another close loss, 77-74, at home to Xavier.

The teams have played four times with Bama's only win coming the first time they met, in 1983, two days after the death of legendary Alabama football coach Paul "Bear" Bryant.

Trevor Releford leads the Tide with 17 points per game. Algie Key led the effort against Xavier, hitting seven of eight shots for 20 points.

UCLA is off to its hottest start since the 2008-2009 season when it broke out to a 14-2 record. The Bruins won their first eight this year.

They have one of the best offenses in the nation, averaging 86.4 points per game and hitting are second in the nation in field-goal percentage, hitting 52.5 percent from the floor. The Bruins are dishing 18.4 assists per game, the fifth-best in the country.

Kyle Anderson is averaging 8.9 rebounds, 6.7 assists and 1.8 steals per game. He is averaging 14.7 points per game and 6.7 assists per game.
