LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) -

Good morning!

Agnes DeRouen in the KPLC 7 Newsroom with a look at what we're working on for 7News@Noon.

A fallen soldier returns home today – decades after serving in the Korean War. The remains of Private First Class Jerry Craig are on the way to a final resting place -- traveling through Lake Charles on the way to Leesville. Lake Charles Mayor Randy Roach and members of the Mayor's Armed Forces Commission were on hand at Veteran's Memorial Park to show their appreciation and support. You can learn more about PFC Craig HERE.

Also today, a California woman makes headlines and a huge difference in another woman's life – after donating her kidney to a complete stranger thousands of miles away.

Plus, a warning for everyone with an email address after cyber attackers launch a virus that can destroy your computer files. We'll show you what to watch out for before you click on the wrong link.

In weather, another foggy and frosty start to the day, but Cedric tells me we should warm into the mid to upper 60's. What about this evening and into tomorrow? I hear rain, possibly some severe weather, may pop up in the next few days. Be sure to tune in to Cedric's live, local forecast at noon for all the details.

Christmas isn't even here, but are you already thinking about Mardi Gras? Southwest Louisiana is already preparing to get the party started – unveiling several events planned for the season.   Check those out HERE.

Remember, you can always watch us online at kplctv.com and on air.  We hope you join us, and have a great day!
