Good Afternoon,

Lee Peck in the KPLC 7 Newsroom with a look at what we are working on for 7 News at Six.

More than 700 students graduated from McNeese State University today. But for one mother and son it was a very special day as they begin a new chapter together. KPLC's Monica Grimaldo has this story.

Plus, the Cal-Cam Fair is moving. We'll have details where the fair will call home next year.

And she's known to fans as the Queen of Country Music – last night Reba McEntire not only wowed the crowds at L'auberge but gave a Make A Wish child a night to remember.

Also in Sports, more on the Kinder Yellow Jackets' state championship win from the Superdome. KPLC's Rebecca Cade recaps the big game.

And, it's bittersweet for the weekend crew as we say goodbye to Meteorologist Cedric Haynes. He'll have the forecast.

We'll see you tonight at Six. Until then, we're always on at kplctv.com.
