BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

The LSU Board of Supervisors unanimously approved an increase for ticket prices to various sporting events. Some parking fees will also see an increase. Student ticket prices, however, should not change.

The fee increase was first introduced by the LSU Athletic Department at the beginning of the 2013 football season. Although the issue was tabled for an extended period of time, the Board of Supervisors considered and approved the proposal on Friday, Dec. 13.

The exact amount of the increases is still being determined, but various parameters have been set.

The increase for football tickets will be no more than $90, and 8,000 tickets will experience no increase. The $50 seat donation will be eliminated on 3,000 east upper deck seats.

Season tickets will also increase from $400 to $425. However, 5,000 seats will see a decrease in season ticket price from $400 to $360.

Spaces for a motor home parking will see the largest fee increase, but about one-half of the spaces will remain the same.

Tickets to the baseball games will range from $25 to $100 per seat, depending on location.

WAFB's Jim Shannon was at the meeting. He will have a full recap at 5:00 and 6:00.
