Live look into Nelson Mandela's memorial service

Good Tuesday morning to you!  Britney Glaser here in the Sunrise studio with a look at what's ahead on today's broadcast:

*Nelson Mandela's memorial service is happening right now in South Africa.  We will join NBC's special live coverage this morning to see the amazing show of support for this monumental leader.

*An East Texas community reacts to a brutal hatchet attack at a Wal-Mart.  Hear from witnesses this morning who saw the attack unfold.

*Beauregard Parish Police Jurors want to change the way sales tax money is allocated.  We'll tell you how they want to shift money to afford rising insurance premiums for employees.

*Louisiana sees an increase in flu activity.  That's according to the Centers for Disease Control's weekly flu surveillance report.  So what does that mean if you haven't gotten your flu shot?  We'll have that answer this morning.

*The Black and Gold Sax Quartet from Sulphur High School joins us live with some sounds of the season.  They are helping us with our final push to get toys and food for KPLC's Community Christmas/Salvation Army Angel Tree.

    The Army Corps of Engineers plans to issue the necessary permits for the Bayou Bridge pipeline, according to a news release from the office of Congressman Clay Higgins. The news release said Colonel Michael Clancy, of the Army Corps of Engineers, announced Thursday that the New Orleans District has concluded its environmental assessment and will issue necessary permits to Bayou Bridge Pipeline, LLC.     Daigle attorneys seek trial delay and different parish for change of venue

    Defense attorneys for Kevin Daigle were in state court on Friday asking for his trial to be delayed again and that the judge choose a different place to pick a jury. Daigle also was in court. He's accused of first-degree murder of State Trooper Steven Vincent in 2015.
