Lake Charles Christmas Program held indoors this year

LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) - It was an evening full of tradition.

The annual Lake Charles Lighting Ceremony was held at the Civic Center.

Normally Christmas Program is held outdoors, but due to cold weather officials moved it indoors.

The event kicks off with singing and other entertainment, followed by Mayor Randy Roach flipping on the outdoor lights at 6 p.m.

A lighted boat parade follows at 6:30. A fireworks show concludes the night at 7:15.

KPLC's Erica Bivens will have the story tonight on Nightcast.
