Sasol holds open house on wetlands impact

LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) - Sasol officials held an open house and public meeting tonight at the Lake Charles Civic Center.

They discussed impacts of their two proposed megaprojects on the nearby wetlands.

Mike Thomas, Vice President of U.S. Operations for Sasol, says the open house is part of the permitting process.

They're currently waiting for a green light on a wetlands permit from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

KPLC's Erica Bivens will have details tonight on 7 News Nightcast.
