Mini Christmas concert on Sunrise with Rory Partin

Happy Friday morning to you!  Britney Glaser here in the KPLC 7Newsroom with a look at what's ahead on today's Sunrise:

*We have a special treat for you this morning: Rory Partin will be singing a few Christmas tunes to get you in the holiday spirit ahead of his concert tonight at Water's Edge in Lake Charles.

*Today marks a dark day in American history: the 50th anniversary of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.  We'll tell you about the day of events commemorating the anniversary.

*If you're heading to the LSU/Texas A&M game this weekend in Baton Rouge, you might want to stop by Mike the Tiger's habitat after seeing a special report this morning.  I'll tell you about "The Tiger Whisperer" and the quest to find this mysterious man.

*Do you think cell phones should be allowed on planes?  That's something the FCC is considering.  Hear why they might lift restrictions.

*Several local football teams are in the playoffs tonight!  Find out how you need to dress for tonight's game as the weather changes.  Meteorologist Ben Terry will have your forecast.

Make it a Sunrise day!
