Victims in fatal motorcycle accident identified

BILOXI, MS (WLOX) -

The two people who died in the motorcycle wreck Saturday night have been identified. According to Harrison County Coroner Gary Hargrove, the two victims are 49-year-old Greg Hines of Biloxi and 48-year-old Jeri Lacour of Ocean Springs.

Biloxi police received a call about the accident at 7:58 Saturday night. Hargrove said Hines was driving a 2000 Harley-Davidson and Lacour was the passenger.

Hines was wearing a non-approved DOT helmet and Lacour was wearing an approved DOT helmet, Hargrove said.

He said the motorcycle was headed westbound on Highway 90 in Biloxi. A Jeep Wrangler was turning north onto Hopkins Boulevard. That's when the two collided.

Hines died from blunt force trauma to the head and chest and was pronounced dead on the scene.

Lacour was transported to Biloxi Regional Medical Center where she died at 8:41 p.m. from blunt force trauma to the head and chest.

The accident is under investigation by the Biloxi Police Department traffic division.
