STARKVILLE, MS (WSFA) - The No. 1 Alabama Crimson Tide beat Mississippi State University 20-7 in Starkville Saturday night. The Tide are now 10-0 on the season.

Alabama quarterback AJ McCarron broke the Alabama record for most yards of total offense during Saturday's game. It was a record previously held by John Parker Wilson.

Alabama got on the board first with a 33-yard field goal by Cade Foster in the first quarter.

McCarron then connected with Brian Vogler for an 18-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter.

The Tide went into halftime with a 10-0 lead.

McCarron connected with Kevin Norwood to give Alabama a 17-7 lead over Mississippi State in the third.

Cade Foster's 35-yard field goal with 12:15 left in the game made it 20-7.

Alabama will take on Chattanooga Saturday in Tuscaloosa for the Tide's last home game of the season.
