Election Day preview, Flea Fest, & Bayou Rum opens for business

Good Afternoon,

Lee Peck in the KPLC 7 Newsroom with a look at what we are working on today.

It's an election day. From a Calcasieu Parish School Board tax in South Lake Charles to a new football stadium for Sulphur High School – voters are heading to the polls to decide. KPLC's Monica Grimaldo has a preview and a look at voter turnout.

Also, they say the "early bird gets the worm" – in this case it's a good deal. KPLC's Erica Bivens makes a stop at Flea Fest, where there's something for every shopper.

And, let the tasting begin. The Louisiana Spirits Bayou Rum Distillery is officially open for business. KPLC's Haley Rush has this story from Lacassine.

Meteorologist Cedric Haynes is in with a look at the forecast. Can we expect any changes on the way? – He'll have all the details.

Plus, the Pokes host Northwestern State University tonight. KPLC's Rebecca Cade will have a live report before kickoff from Cowboy Stadium.

We'll see you tonight at Six for these stories and more. Until then, we're always on at kplctv.com.
