2-part Dr. Phil on Jake Limberios death finishes Friday

CASTALIA, OH (Toledo News Now) -

Jake Limberios died of a gunshot wound to the head in March of 2012 inside a Sandusky County house.

The 19-year-old's death - and the mystery surrounding it - is the topic of a two-part "Dr. Phil Show." Part one aired Thursday on WTOL.

Jake's death was first ruled a suicide by the Sandusky County Coroner's Office. His parents, Mike and Shannon, hired a forensic pathologist to perform a separate autopsy.

The ruling? Homicide, and that's what Mike and Shannon believe. They maintain someone else in the house accidentally fired the gun.

"You can have your day in court, get a judgment. If you don't like that, you can appeal it. We get a suicide ruling for our son and there's no appeals process," said Mike Limberios.

On Dr. Phil, the Limberioses discussed what happened and the heartbreak they've been through.  Also on the show were two witnesses in the house who say Jake fired the gun, no one else.

"We just want the truth," Mike said. "We need to tell our granddaughter Ella, Jake's daughter who is 4, we're going to have to tell her what happened to her daddy."

Ohio Attorney General Mike Dewine has convened a grand jury in the case in Fremont.

Part two of the "Dr. Phil Show" airs at 4 p.m. Friday on WTOL and will include polygraph testing results for the two witnesses.
