TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -

Fashion retailer Gabriel Brothers, Inc. unveiled its new space at 5223 Monroe Street Thursday. This is the first store in Toledo and the 15th in the state of Ohio.

What's different about this store is it opened as "Gabe's" instead of Gabriel Brothers, celebrating its recognizable nickname given by customers nationwide.

"We are honored to open the doors today to the first Gabe's in Toledo, a retail store that offers customers a first-rate shopping experience with famous brands at up to 70 percent off regular retail," said Ken Seipel, CEO of Gabriel Brothers, Inc. "Gabriel Brothers is excited to welcome the public to our new location and we thank Mayor Michael Bell for joining us at the ribbon-cutting ceremony this morning."

To celebrate the new Toledo store, Gabriel Brothers is hosting a grand opening event from 8 a.m. until 10 p.m. The event kicked off with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and opening remarks by Seipel, who was joined by team members and local dignitaries. Toledo residents and shoppers are invited to join the grand opening and can expect exciting special offers and prizes throughout the day, along with food and music. The celebrations continue Saturday with family-friendly activities and more special offers.
