Texas Brine responds to allegations of knowledge to risks of sinkhole

BAYOU CORNE, LA (WAFB) -

Texas Brine responded to the claims made that they ignored the warning signs which lead to the giant Bayou Corne sinkhole.

In a federal lawsuit, Liberty Insurance underwriters stated that Texas Brine had known about the risks involved with continued mining of the Assumption Parish salt dome cavern for several years.

Texas Brine officials deny those allegations and say they look forward to having their say in court.
