TYLER, TX (KLTV) - The Tyler Police Department is investigating a robbery that occurred at Varsity Place Apartments early Thursday morning.

Two people were inside their apartment when they heard a knock at the door just before 1 a.m. Upon answering the door, two unidentified black males forced their way into the apartment. After the first two suspects gained entry into the building, four additional black males entered the residence.

One of the suspects was armed with a semi-automatic pistol which he used to hit one of the victims in the head with, leaving behind a large gash. The six suspects took various electronics from the apartment and then fled. Police were called after the suspects had fled the scene.

No one has been arrested in relation to this incident. Descriptions of the suspects involved have not yet been released.
