Family of Longville woman shot & killed by husband speaks to 7 News

Good Evening,

Lee Peck in the KPLC 7 Newsroom with a look at what we are working on for Nightcast.

A week after a shooting left a Longville woman dead and her husband accused of the crime, the victim's family and friends are speaking to 7 News.

Also Southwest Louisiana hunters are helping feed the hungry. KPLC's Gerron Jordan was there as they cleaned out their freezers and donated to Abraham's Tent.

And a Utah man says he's lucky to be alive. After years of heart failure and a near death experience, he's biking his way from California to Florida to raise awareness for heart disease. KPLC's Monica Grimaldo catches up with him as he makes a stop in SWLA.

We'll also have a recap of Saturday's election results.

Rebecca Cade is on the Sports desk tonight. She'll have highlights and more post game reaction from the Cowboys' big Homecoming win over Sam Houston.

And as we head into our work week – our chances of rain increase. But the big question is will the cooler temperatures stick around? Meteorologist Cedric Haynes has your forecast.

We'll see you tonight following NFL Football. Until then, we're always on at kplctv.com.
