GILMER, TX (KLTV) -

An East Texas woman is laid to rest with honors for her role in helping the U.S. win world war two.

Funeral services were held today in Gilmer for Lillian Wray. During world war two, Wray became a 'WASP', or Women Air Force Service Pilot, who flew military aircraft and trained male cadets. Wray was honored in Washington in 2010 with a congressional gold medal. She was 99 years old.
