Happy Friday morning to you!  Britney Glaser here in the KPLC 7Newsroom with a look at what's ahead on today's Sunrise:

*It's the next step forward in a mysterious case 20 years in the making.  A hearing takes place in Mississippi today to determine if a body believed to be that of a missing Lake Charles woman can be exhumed.

*An internal investigation continues this morning after a Lake Charles police office shoots a dog while pursuing a home burglary suspect.  Hear how the dog is doing today and what the owners are saying about this unfolding situation.

*With the government opened and the latest financial crisis on hold, attention in Washington turns to whether Democrats and Republicans can come up with a permanent budget plan by mid-December.

*Several movies hit the big screen this weekend, including a Halloween fright-fest "Carrie" remake and "12 Years a Slave."  We'll have the box office preview.

*Speaking of movies, a Lake Charles theatre uses new technology to allow movie watching for the blind.  Find out how it works!

*We have two special guests joining us this morning on Sunrise: Cookie Hauser will be showing us how to whip up a Crock Pot Cassoulet and the Beauregard Parish Elementary Student of the Year will help me share today's headlines!

*If that's not enough...Ben Terry has a look at our cooler and rainy weekend forecast.

Make it a Sunrise day!

Warm & humid TuesdayWarm & humid Tuesday

We seem to be in a weather pattern where storm systems move across or near our area every 4 to 6 days, and that trend is likely to continue for the foreseeable future.  This should help to keep pollen a little more limited and will help the many plants that are greening up this spring.  Temperatures will remain warm and humid through next week.
