Good Tuesday morning to you! Britney Glaser here in the KPLC 7Newsroom with a look at what's ahead on today's Sunrise:
*There is hope this morning that Washington may avoid hitting the debt ceiling Thursday. We'll tell you about a deal that seems to be in the works, but lawmakers still need to jump through several hoops to prevent an historic default.
*State officials continue the investigation into a glitch with food stamp EBT cards. One woman shopping at Wal-Mart was arrested after she knowingly purchased $700 worth of food on her card that had less than $1 on it. You'll hear why those trying to scam the system will be held accountable.
*Funeral arrangements have been set for Sherry Langley, the Longville woman who authorities say was shot and killed by her husband.
*If your morning travel plans involve the I-10 Calcasieu River Bridge, plan accordingly! The eastbound outside lane will be closed from about 8:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m. for maintenance work.
